Way too early where I live.  We don’t usually plant until around Mother’s  Day in May.

I am very excited that the sweet peas that I planted a couple of weeks ago has begun to grow.  Now I want to find some other stuff that I can start from seeds.
Is there anyone out there that is planting a vegetable garden this year and if so, what are you planting?

I miss my garden and yard so much.

I used to grow so many plants, veggies, fruit, etc. from seed.  It's a very therapeutic process.

Not interested in raising a garden, but I love flowers and that is what I have been working on.

Glad to hear from the posts that others are having luck growing their own gardens. I have tried some herbs like scallion and cilantro but with limited success. I might try tomato this year as there are some readily available tomato plants that I can grow from Home Depot.

We already have eggplant, burdock, onions, sunchokes growing in the garden. Your sweet peas will probably be really sweet because of the weather!
What is burdock?   I have squash plants blooming like crazy already and the sunflowers are about 3 feet tall already.  I just put out the tomatoes, beets, peas and beans.

I don't like gardening in the sense of planting different veggies.  I prefer planting flowers.  I am still working on it, getting it setup that appeals to me.

My squash and cucumber is up, so are the beets and okra. Looks like we are going to have a good garden this year.

Burdock is a root plant. You can sautee it or bake it. It is used in Japanese and European recipes. It comes back every year. It also grows in the wild. It is rare to find in a grocery store, so easier to grow for consumption here in Ohio.

I planted my peas late and they starting to dry up because it's hot.  I hope I remember to plant earlier next year and get a better crop.  My tomatoes are dong good and the green beans are growing nicely.
