Ok...so how long is too long to keep them up? Or what's the right amount of time?

I think it’s up to each person, but we take ours down NewYear’s Day.  Since it’s on Friday this year, if not Friday then definitely Saturday or Sunday.

I leave mine up through the 12 days of Christmas (not the song). In our church, December 25 is just the first day of Christmas. Additional observances occur during those 12 days, bringing us to Epiphany.

It is your house and your choice. Do whatever YOU want to do.

If you never put em up in the first place,U never have to worry about that.

One day, in Jerusalem, Jesus was talking about his Father, Jehovah, and exposing the false religious leaders of his day. (John 8:12-30) What he stated on that occasion teaches us how to examine popular beliefs about God today. Jesus said: “If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”—John 8:31, 32.

Mine are down already. I took them down before we went down south to see one of our kids before Christmas.

The "real tree" was so dry it was scary.  :bad:

The only thing I put up is a tree.  It goes up once there's a gift to go under and comes down when all the gifts are gone LOL.  I haven't celebrated Christmas with my dad yet, he wasn't able to make it Thursday as originally planned so :) the tree is still up and I'm totally fine with that.

Honestly, I feel like there isn't really a right or wrong answer.  If it brings someone joy to have their lights up all year I say go for it :) they're not hurting anyone!
