Aye. Have always supported the troops. Just hate the people giving them objectives.
Should just melt the entire region down to beaded glass.

Yeah cause there's no innocent people there or anything.

The West has much responsibility for creating tension in that region...we have a stake in it as much as they do.

My husband of 18 years is in the military (has been for 18+ years).  Loves his job, and I love him for what he gives up for our safety.
Our troops will ALL never be home.. we have troops everywhere...Korea, Germany, Japan,..many other places.
Yes, they do join on their own free will,  but does that mean they have to give up their lives for the morons that don't support them,.. and should they have to listen to their own people (AMERICANS) bad mouthing them...
My husband was in Iraq for 16 months...16 months of missing his 3 children, time he will never get back and now with this NEW president he will be missing another 12 months cause our job is not done in Afgahnistan.
I do agree, IT IS NOT OUR BATTLE TO FIGHT OVER THERE.  WE are done, but of course every president has to prove something...at the expense of our young men and women.
UNITED STATES ALL THE WAY.  Love your freedom, THANK A SOLIDER!!!!
 :)  ;)  :P

My fiance is in Iraq now and has been for a few  months now. They keep moving his homecoming date around. I hate sitting around waiting for phonecalls or emails and just wondering what he is doing and if he is ok. the soldiers are always in my thought and prayers

All our troops will never be home.

ah, there it is. the cynical ray of sunshine.
the kind that warms us with a hint of conflict,
and always the opinion stated as a fact.

...anyway, i totally agree that having the troops
home will be a nice relief for their families and friends!

We haven't had all our troops home for almost a century and clearly the more wars we involve ourselves in, the more troops we station throughout the world.  What you call cynical, is basic realism.  Reality is fairly cynical.

I'm not sure our companions in Jesus Camp understand this   :BangHead:

good luck to all of those who are waiting for loved ones to come home from Iraq.  I hope everyone makes it home safe.

That would be nice, but I don't know if I see it really happening, they will most likely be in afghanistan, if we don't have troops over there fighting off the bad guys, we are going to have more terrorists coming here. But I do not think we ever had any business in Iraq. That was Bush's vandetta.
