I don't remember my brothers have a birthday party when they were little.  They might now that they are grown.  I had a birthday party once.  I think that I could have lived with out it.  I have 4 kids and only 2 of them had a party.  The first one sort of a disaster.  The second one the kids went skating.  No cake or gifts.  I really think my kids really don't care if they had one or not.

Why are you dwelling on something that happened 20 years ago?  If you seriously loose sleep at night over this you probably could use some professional help.

Why are you committing on my topic???? Goodbye

I don't know if anyone else have ever experienced this before, but I need someone to let me know.  When my son turned one years old,  I gave him a birthday party with immediate family only and 2 or 3 friends. His dad side of the family I didn't communicate with.

To make a long story short, Due to my social anxiety(social phobia) I've never wrote up a long list of names and thrown my son a large birthday party. This is due to fear of rejection, me being introverted, shy, and of course being a host.

I would rather have a smaller gathering with immediate family or friends. I don't get the huge parties. My cousin always has mega huge parties for her kids with 35-40 people. Or more. smh

Yes, that's better. Immediate family and friends.

Just don't have a large party, this will ease the anxiety you feel....

My wife is like that. She doesn't like to host huge gatherings because of her social anxiety. But she soldiered through that in order to have a small gathering for our son's birthday parties over the years. She's gotten better with it but still feels uncomfortable at times. She just reminds herself that's it's not about her, but for him.

That is all we ever really done.  I never cared about having a huge party. But it is what you want to do. I am sure if you do a bigger gathering everything will be fine.  Most things you stress about and think so much about nobody else gives a second thought to. I am sure no matter what you do it will be great.

Some people can't do that.  Kind of like my personal troll that has to respond to everything I say.  Attacking or insulting.  It must be a sad life.  I guess if bullying me gets him through the day then have at it. lol

With families with a lot of siblings, most of the time the siblings are the party and it just remains within the family which is good too, It works. I feel it's the adults that make everything extravagant and extra when all a child needs is a simple celebration.

I think that you are worried for nothing, I have never worried about my birthday, but your anxiety can develop into much more significant problems and you should be afraid of this, when we have children growing up, we are already very worried and worried, and this can not but affect our health. Now I'm raising my daughter and it can be very difficult for me to control myself, but my therapist advised me kratomgallery.com who would keep me calm for as long as possible so that I wouldn't yell at her, because it might injure my baby
