We have been starved for professional sports for so long. Of the four majors, baseball has the least amount of physical contact.

But with the way positive cases are escalating among baseball players, it is irresponsible for MLB to not suspend the season.

There is no way any sane person can be stupid enough to believe that ONE person could enter a stadium of thousands and thousands of people and that ONE person can be cov positive and infect the entire stadium. You would have to be brain dead to believe that.  Sadly we are surrounded by brain dead people because a lot of people DO believe that.  The virus is not that contagious.  If it were every person in the country would have had it by now.  And if they have then that proves it is not that serious.  People can't have it both ways.
Seriously, isnt it obvious to you by now MAYBE 1 person on FC agrees with you?

Why dont you go teach yourself sign language so you dont have to hear yourself talk!!

No. With a high number of players testing positive for the corona virus it is reckless an greedy to continue. The Nationals, Brewers, Phillies, Marlins, Blue Jays and Cardinals have all cancelled games due to the virus. To continue is not only pointless and is risking lives. If allowed to continue, why not change the league name from Major League Baseball to Death Race 2020? Will the winner of the World Series come down to whoever has the most unaffected and living players? Everybody in the world is currently making sacrifices, why should the league, baseball players and fans be immune to making sacrifices? What kind of message is this sending to the public? Hello public, baseball is playing, everything is better , now go out, let your guard down and get the virus.

I don't think anyone is going to think everything is better by watching baseball games. The games are played in empty stadiums with players and coaches wearing facemasks.

Some stadiums have cutouts of people in the stands -- I thought it was the weirdest thing, might as well just cgi the players & everything be fake, but then I found out that people sponsor their cutouts & the money goes to charity which is a very good thing. So very smart idea :)

That said, I'm a big Baseball fan, but not even watching it this season, they should all opt out & just be done - or not, I couldn't care less at this point. So over sports atm.
