I've done a few test products but I've always known their name. I've never had a blind test product. There's no way you could figure out what it was until the test company would tell you after the product was ready to be marketed.

I have done a few product tests and like you I never find out what the product was.  All the ones I have done have been pretty good so I would like to know in case I want to buy them.

I did a product test on cat litter. My cat didn't like it and neither did I but I will use it for a backup if I can't get my usual Tidy Cats. I don't know the name either. I did do a follow up though. I've done product test on face moisturizer but never found out the name, I did one on cat food too. I like doing those!

I have never done a product test. Exactly how does one go about getting products from companies to test? Is there a way to sign up for that online?

Just by being a member of certain survey companies, they give you survey asking what your willing to participate in, online survey, product home tests, telephone interviews etc. You then randomly get picked for what you're interested.

I've gotten quite a few through the SSI surveys on the FC survey page.

Not something I particularly care to do; have done in the pass but no interest at this time.

Seriously? You do not like getting free stuff to try?  I mean if you answer the surveys honestly and it is a product you use.  Unless you are scared of getting packages in the mail right now.  A few months ago I got in a product test and received a full size product that lasted a few weeks. I will take free stuff they want to send me any time.  Except them seeds from china.  They can keep them. lol

Exactly, I'm down for receiving free stuff in the mail except them China seeds. lol

There are plenty of ways to figure it out. Most of them it is pretty obvious esp if it is something you already use.  All product tests are not brand new products.  I have done several that it was pretty easy for me to figure out the company behind it even though it came in a plain white container with no names on it.  Like Aqua Fresh toothpaste.  Nobody else has the 3 stripes in their toothpaste.

I don't like or do test products.  I have turned down many.  Not interested or have the time.
