I am not a fan of Wallpaper. I think that paint, alone, can bring in a room's personality much better. For instance: the study that I currently work in was originally aubergine with an orange peel texture, accentuated with a gaudy strip of book shelf wall paper. When we moved in I saw my production decrease. I spoke with my business coach and she analyzed all that I was doing for a week without finding any procedural problems. She asked to come and see my work environment and immediately recommended having the wallpaper taken down and the room painted a lighter shade of taupe explaining that the morbid color and tacky wallpaper were creating a distraction and more of a somber move-not conducive to production. I complied and, within one week saw my production level not only return to normal but exceed previous high periods at a time that had typically been a little slower.

Color can, indeed, affect mood.  There have been studies on the effect on color on mood, thus motivation and productivity.
As far as wallpaper is concerned, I like accents of wallpaper if not overused.  I once went into a model home that was rather upscale and the decorator had used a lot of wallpaper, most very subtle.  It was done in very good taste!

I hate wallpaper especially if it's for your walls in your home.  I have never found it attractive.

I used it many years ago in a small area but I've taken all the wallpaper down except for a border in my bathrooms.  It's easier and not as messy as the ones you have to wet.

I have some in my bathroom and it was relatively easy to put up; just peel, smooth out the bubbles/lines, and apply.

I got some from Walmart for less than $40 about 5 year ago and it's still up.

Sounds interesting peel and stick wallpaper. I am not sure how easy it is to use and wonder how long it would last.

Contact paper is pretty similar, just used in different places; whereas wallpaper is to wall, contact paper is to linen closet, drawer, etc.  You're right.

I have never used that product before but I have used contact paper which seems like the same thing.  It doesn't seems like something I would put on a major portion of my wall.  When it is time to take it down, the film left on the wall will take a lot of time to get off

I have in the past, but not recently. It wasn't too hard going up, I have never had to remove it though.

I have. It takes some getting used to working with it. I suggest NOT tearing all the backing off the paper at once, it will stick to wall before you want it, sticks to itself etc.

Just peel enough to get it started to wall, once its stuck good, then slowly take the backing off as you apply to wall

NO NO NO!  Wallpaper is just a bad idea all around.  There are so many beautiful paint color and textures that you can do on a wall.  Just say no to wallpaper!
