Salad Bars and Cafeteria Style is our future for Buffets

I used to love Golden Corral until I was at one a few years ago and a child picked the spoon out of the cole slaw and ate off of the spoon. His father just told him to put the spoon back. I told our server and he said he would tell the kitchen. It took about 10 minutes, and several people scooping out cole slaw with that same spoon, before anyone came out to change the bowl and spoon.

I probably would have either taken the spoon out myself or stood there and told other customers a kid had licked the spoon.  The first person you told should have removed the spoon. Stuff like that happens at buffets every where.  Or people sneeze on the food or cough over it.  The sneeze guards do not do much good as far as protection.  I figured out a long time ago I did not want people touching or breathing on my food.

We do eat out, but years ago I had to work part time (after my full time job) so I worked as a server in a very nice restaurant.  Trust me, if people really knew what went on in the kitchen they would be shocked!
