Yes I would in a calm informative manner.  I would not act like the woman in your case acted but perhaps her actions came from upsetment over drinking that water.  The egg man approached it in the right way.  Now overall I can't believe how many recalls there are it is really concerning and how products stay on the shelves.   :sad1:

No I think she is just a little "out there" lol  She reminded me of one of the people you see on tv protesting.  There is nothing that I know of wrong with the water.  The company supposedly broke some law and had to pay a fine.  I don't care.  I bought the water.  I still don't care enough to look up what fine they had to pay.

You are right about the recalls.  Every day there is a new recall.  But I can't grow all my own food, hunt my own meat and process my own meat, and I don't have the set up for solar energy. So I like most others am reliant on buying things at the store.  I think seeing this person's house would be interesting.  From what little she said I think she is one of the "preppers" to the max.  I know a guy who has enough stuff to last at his home for 10 years. lol  I do think it is a good idea to have enough food in your home to sustain you for a couple of weeks because you never know what could happen.  Even something like truckers going on strike could prevent there being food in the stores to buy.  But years and years is just crazy.

Maybe if there was a recall I would politely inform them but other than that no. That was going too far.

Have you ever had anyone approach you in a store and try to discourage you from buying a product you had just put in your shopping cart?

The next question - would you approach someone you did not know and discourage them from purchasing from a company because YOU did not agree with ethical choices they had made?

Nope, I never had anyone approach me in a store and try to discourage me from buying any products. No, I don't bother anyone in the stores and I won't discourage them from buying anything. I mind my own business and everyone else should do the same.

People really need to mind their business. I'd probably snap at them, lol.

The other day I picked up a package of the Nestle bottle waters and this woman gets really upset yelling about all the reasons I should not purchase from that company.  Something about how they put poison in the water and just had to pay billions of dollars in fines.  :o ::)

Then gets off in to a bunch of other stuff that is too crazy to repeat.  This is the first time something like this has happened to me.  The only other remotely same thing was when I had a package of eggs and a man ask me if I knew there was a recall on that brand.  I said no.  I quickly checked my phone and he was right.  I thanked him and left the eggs there. lol.

The next question - would you approach someone you did not know and discourage them from purchasing from a company because YOU did not agree with ethical choices they had made?

Was that the day all the crazies came out and tag you were it.  Seriously, no that hasn't happened to me.

I love to shop in stores! Store get revenue of traffic to stay open.

Stores closing is because very LOW sales. Kmart, Macy, Sears & Etc. People would rather shop online instead of going into stores!

If you bought a pair pants - they did not fit. You will have to ship it back! More money out of pocket to send it back!

To keep stores open - is to shop in our stores, the more sales revenue the more revenue the city, county & state gets! Plus the employee get to stay at their jobs!

Yes, I was in a pharmacy buying a weight loss product and the pharmacist came over and told me it was dangerous to get involved with the specific kind of product I was looking at. I appreciated the advice and did not buy the product. But if somebody came up to me and started yelling about a product I was about to buy, I probably would put the product down and come back a little later to buy it when the person wasn't around.
