I seen the wall back in '77 while stationed in Germany was still split with guards in the towers...dreary dreadful site...glad it came down.

I was so young that I clearly have no recollection of it, but now that I"m older I have more appreciation for what that day represents

Depending on what god you are referring to,the TRUE God had nothing to do with it.Just like if a wall was built here.

John 18:36
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”KJV

I don't really remember the actual tear down, but I do remember Ronald Reagan"s "Mr Gorbachev, Tear down this wall!" & the ending of the cold war.

There is a slab of the wall in Reagan's Presidential Library -- it's interesting & shows the contrasting state of the two Germany's... one side is covered in colorful graffiti, the other side is just dull gray cement like a prison.

Reagan forgot to add,"so a new type of war would soon envelope the world."

Jesus answering his disciples in Math 24 after apostles asked him for signs Satans world would end.

4 In answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads you,+ 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.+ 6 You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.+

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,+ and there will be food shortages+ and earthquakes in one place after another.+ 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation+ and will kill you,+ and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name.+ 10 Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and mislead many;+ 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold.+ 13 But the one who has endured to the end will be saved.+ 14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations,+ and then the end will come.

I wonder if some know what endured mean?Good news of kingdom being preached worldwide? Not hard to figure that out with over 96000 congregations as a worldwide brotherhood and having love among themselves and NOT supporting war.

That wall was just awful. I went through it a couple times in 1969-1970 when I was in Germany on a Fulbright Fellowship. I got detained once for having brought my western schoolbooks into East Berlin with me when I went there to sightsee and it was an absolutely terrifying experience. It is just wonderful that it is no longer there.

I am sure the terrorists felt the same way when the towers fell.

All this only shows this......

I just remember thinking about the people on the east side of the wall and how they lived stunted lives with no freedom. It was a real thrill when the Berlin Wall came down and a united Germany came through! I also wonder what they've done to bring eastern Germany into the 21st (or even 20th) century in the past 30 years.  :peace:

So much happened back at the time the wall came down.  My kids were very little.  I was just happy for the people to see them bring the wall down.
