There are many uses for mint -- most common is with tea because it aids in digestion.  Being southern, fresh mint in iced tea always added flavorful refreshment.

You can also use fresh mint with mixed greens in a salad or numerous other salads like quinoa tabouli with parsley + mint or Mediterranean herb quinoa salad.  You can find many recipe ideas.

Another idea is freeze mint leaves using water or sparkling water in your ice cube tray to create a colorful touch to your drinks.  If using purified water to make the ice cubes, boil it first, then cool, before putting it in the ice cube tray with the mint leaf in order to give your ice cubes that crystal clear look.

Be creative!

So what do you do? Just drop the mints in the tea?  So you can eat the mint leaves?  Seems like somebody did say you can chew them.  But that seems like it would be a pretty strong mint and I don't care for that.  I like the smell though.

Like I said growing it is not hard.  Just get it at Lowe's or somewhere similar and put it in a pot and water it.  It does not require a lot of care.  Just sunlight and be sure it gets water.  The what to do when you want to harvest has always been my issue.  I would like to get some and may still do and put in a raised area in the back yard.  I don't guess it is too late to plant it.  I may even get some different varieties and plant together lol

I can grow the hound out of fresh herbs.  I just am not always sure how to harvest.  I have done dill a lot.  You just clip it and cut the dill off the stalk.  Some people cut the stalk up too but I didn't.  The dill sprigs are really soft.

I have heard people say that.  I just never was brave enough to do it.

My house has a small-mid size patch growing in the front of the house that we use to eat when making noodles and such.

No but I would love to start growing it as I use it to infuse my water!

Hmmm so how do you do that?  I actually have one of the cups for that.  So I guess just put the mint leaves in the top part where it is for fruit or what ever.  That seems wasteful for fruit because you just have the water flow over it and then you throw the fruit away.

Chickens eat mint?  That is interesting.

Lol that's my problem with growing herbs. I have a dog and you never know. When I snip some to cook with I have to make sure I take it from in the back where he couldn't reach haha

nope, though I've often thought about starting an herb garden.  My son's girlfriend has a huge indoor herb garden.
