Good days in may
« on: May 01, 2019, 05:59:52 am »
Being its may there are a couple of days I know that some of us look forward to. First there is mothers day and that is always a good day. Then there are a couple of birthdays that we celebrate. Finally at the end of the month is memorial day. That is always a great time because it is the start of summer.

Don't care too much for Summer, Winter months are awesome. We celebrate two Holidays in May, Birthdays, don't forget Anniversaries.

I am glad that it is May. It's starting to get just a bit warmer where I live and since I hate the winter months I look forward to the spring and the new life it brings. When my grandmother was living she visited us during Mother's Day and I always looked forward to her visits and going out to eat and talking with her and my mother. I love Memorial Day because of the delicious barbecue. Unfortunately due to some health restrictions we don't prepare it anymore here, but I still remember those tasty hotdogs, chicken and burgers.

My final reason for enjoying May is watching the NBA playoffs. I've been into basketball since watching Michael Jordan's 5th championship in 1997. I still remember Steve Kerr's game winning shot. By May things are really heating up with the semis and conference finals leading to the NBA Finals so I always look forward to that each year.

Happy May!  I always look forward to celebrating Mother's Day with my wonderful mom.  As far as the beginning of summer, that's not something I really look forward to. I'm not a out doors person....it's too hot here in Tx.

Yes! It is the summer...bye-bye winter snow and cold days.
Now, it is warm and sunny. Happy Mother's Day...to me it is Easter Sunday-
the beginning of new and good things.

I love Spring, I love preparing the garden, getting the patio ready for outdoor living/   The barbeques are fun starting with the warmer weather.

End of May will be good for sure because school will be out and I live across and around the corner from a High School so during the school year is busy with kids walking around and lots of traffic.  Mother's Day is bitter sweet for me because my mom passed in 2010 and I really miss her still.  :rose:
