Time flys
« on: November 30, 2018, 06:22:28 pm »
Even though I am happy we are close to the end of the year, when I think about it, the time did go by pretty fast. I thought things would slow down since I finished school, but it feels the same or even faster at times.

They always say the older you get, the faster the years go by. I say this now at the end of every year, but I honestly feel like 2018 has gone by the quickest.  :o It was a good enough year, but man, it felt like a minute! I'm excited for 2019, though. I'm going to aim to accomplish even more--save money, maybe get an editor for my book, get a decent job, go out for fun more. I hope it's a good year for everyone. We need it!  :star: :rainbow:

Yes, it seems like it. So, I wonder is the world coming to an end soon as time flys bye?

This year did seem to be one of the fastest to whiz by for me.  Here we are again in the Forum talking about holidays and gifts, decorating, food, family get-togethers, you name it!  Treasure every moment is always good advice.

Time sure does fly by.  I can't believe we are in the middle of the holidays again.  Maybe next year time will slow down. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday season.  :pumpkin: :rainbow: :peace:

Really time flies just imagine we are starting the first day of the last month in the year. 2018 flies so fast many things happen but at least we survived with all this hurricane, flooding and fire. Praying for a better last month of the year.

I remember as a kid how it seemed like it took so long for Christmas to arrive every year and that the wait seemed like torture - and then as an adult it is the exact opposite - you blink your eyes and here it is coming around again!

Then I heard an possible explanation for that perception = when you are a kid, you've lived fewer years overall - so 365 days is a much larger chunk of your overall life. Proportionally/perspectively speaking one year is a much longer time to your childhood existence than it is to your adult existence.

I suppose that makes sense.

So my next question = why is it that even as an adult, the summer seems to "fly by" but a bad winter season takes forever to pass?

Time flies when you are having fun or nor....like

Fun flies when you are having (too much) time.

I have always thought that time is going by quicker because it is getting closer for the time for Jesus to return!  What a blessing that would be!!
Have a wonderful day!

Now that I am older, time flies so fast. I wish that I could stay young and time flying by would not bother me as much.

I remember as a kid I would say to my mom, I wish it was ..... and she would say don’t wish for time to go as you get older it goes so fast.  I remember thinking how can it go fast for you, but not me.  Then I got older and it does go by fast, mom was right!
