I agree with the thanking veterans but refuse to say HAPPY Veterans day. It is not a happy day.  Most of the Veterans are remembering the ones who didn't come back home.  Got to thinking about this a few years ago when people flooded Facebook with HAPPY Veterans day and I was like this isn't a happy day.

Veteran's day is a great time to remember all those that have served and sacrificed for our country. I hope everyone enjoyed a day off and appreciated the moment to reflect on these brave individuals. Happy Veteran's Day.

I have a neighbor who is almost 101 year old WWII veteran.

I took him a note thanking him for his service, and a Hershey bar, his favorite candy.

I had military in my family, one buried in Arlington.

Grateful for all of you/them. Thank you for your service.
