according to the goverment I have a new name

everytime my husband and I get mail from the goverment they address me as crystal instead of my name!! apparently to them my mom named me Crystal and not Katie. guess she didnt get the memo.

According to the government, my dad is a girl.  Thought THAT was pretty interesting!  And, no, he isn't a trans.  He really is a male.

I have no words.  Is it correct on his birth certificate?

Now I wonder when people decide they are trans and change to the other sex do they actually change it with the government? Oh my. Now my head hurts.

A couple years back the government was under the impression my dad was dead and sent a bunch of forms etc. to that effect. He was sure surprised to hear about his passing. I guess all it takes is a typo somewhere down the line.

Wow....interesting to hear about these mixups....I wonder how common they are and how much they cost to fix!

That is strange, I think I would check into that. Have you ever looked at your birth certificate to see what is on it. There might be a interesting story behind this.

Could be identity theft?  I would contact whatever agency it is that is sending it to you & have it straightened out immediately... nothing to chance with.

hahahaha, that's quite comical. The Government and my Governor can kiss my butt after this Nor Easter snow storm we had this past Thursday. Not one snow plow or salt truck in site and my normal 1.5 hour commute home turned into a 10 hour commute!! It was horrible! EF the Gov!!
