My mother never got good service with Direct Tv or  the other one.  I haven't ever had anything but cable which I kept until my husband passed then I went just to netflix which has its downside in waiting for additional seasons but for the price I stick with that and am satisfied with it.

I have an indoor antenna and I get about 20 channels.  I get ABC, CBS, NBC and the FOX channel.  I also get other channels like Grit, Get and the Justice channel.

Definitely cut cable.  It's too expensive.

If we could  get  TV channels on an out door antenna I would  go that way, but  to get out  local and state news we can't get  anything to speak of,  We live 165 miles from the broadcast area and as far as getting from another area which is only 120 miles can't get their either. We live in a low lying area and their broadcast  jumps over us, So it is either  cable or dish. And our  cable company sucks also.  Have just switched from DirecTV to Dish for a couple of years and hope something gets better but I doubt it,
