I met an important general from the WWII army.....General Dozier.
He told us some interesting stories.
I have met some people in my life who like to tell war stories.
I find them very interesting.

My great uncle fought the Japanese on the Burma road and killed a Japanese Army officer in hand to hand, took his sword weapons and members of my family have them.

My dad was a flame thrower in the Korean War , he didn't like talking about it at all. And the program MASH was off limits in our house. He said that program made a joke of something that wasn't any thing of joke. I to this day have never watched it.

My father-in-law was a veteran of WWII but he didn't like to talk about it too much.  He was injured early in the war and missed some of it.  He did talk about some of his buddies though and they would all meet every few years with their wives and he always enjoyed that.  He passed away 2 years ago at the age of 97 and had been extremely active till roughly 6 months before.  We sure miss him.
