There is, seemingly, a reason for everything. You were graced with a new window. My Aunt was rewarded with her life. She was working constantly and had no time for interruptions. She was so busy that she was late for her flight, even after speeding an running red lights to get there. She even asked the stewardesses to stop the plane because her next appointment was so important but the plane was too far out on the tarmac. Less than two hours later the plane she was supposed to have been on crashed with no survivors. This was a huge turning point in her life. My Aunt slowed down, left at least thirty minutes between appointments and never flew again. My parents were affected, as well, and never flew after that day. My wife and I fly out to visit these family members.

Seems like everything happens for a reason.  As they say, one door closes and another one opens.

On a similar note, my house is getting a much needed new roof thanks to Hurricane Irma. The insurance adjuster deemed the damage enough to warrant a new roof rather than a repair. The first insurance claim I've ever filed is turning out nicely, and the insurance company has been a pleasure to work with.

Oh wow that is awesome - I am happy for you.  I was hoping FEMA would cover food but they aren't and I don't understand it.  Well back to the subject that is good news for you on the windows.

Glad to hear it. We weren't affected by any of the hurricanes. I was surprised because I thought we would at least get a little rain and wind. I guess I'm thankful that we weren't affected though.
