morning news
« on: March 16, 2017, 06:28:22 am »
I listen to CNBC morning news --- squawk box and opening bell.
There are times when I am listening to the banter between Jim Cramer and David Fraiser.
It just makes me chuckle. I find myself not listening to the words and just listening to the back and forth conversation.

I'm quite curious about how you can listen to a conversation and not listen to the words.

Is that really possible? :confused1:

I only have an hour or so to wake up, eat, shower, change, feed dogs before work so I don't watch morning TV.

I usually don't have time for morning news. I put on the weather channel while getting ready for work. I do watch the evening news.

My day time job requires me to keep up on world events so I need to review Fox, CNN, Reuters and BBC for the first thirty to forty minutes at work everyday. It is funny reviewing Fox and seeing how biased they are with republicans and then switch over to CNN that is totally biased on democrats. I feel sorry for people that resign themselves to one point of view between those two stations and can usually pick them out in a crowd with their first few words. I think that forty percent, easily, of the news that comes from those two stations is nothing more than mind numbing propaganda. I also get a chuckle when I am doing research in a third world country's media-especially when they do an article on the United States and our politics.

I think it might be possible. I think it's like having a TV on in the background (just for noise). You're not sure what is being said/done on TV, but you're fully aware that it's a comedy or a game show or whatever.
