I don't know where my marriage license is, and it does NOT say on the marriage license that my name changed anyway. That is only for heterosexual couples. This is discrimination, but you have to be gay to understand it. Not a surprise --a bunch of privileged straight people. Notice that no one in my discussion answered the question. I emailed Fusion Cash over a week ago and haven't gotten a response from them either. I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB.

What question didn't we answer? You asked what they're looking for when they ask for a court record. It's been answered that it's a marriage licence or any other official legal document showing you went from one name to another.

Did you legally change your name? If so there is some type of paperwork trail.

I've seen women that have gotten marry complain about the same thing so I'm not sure how you would have to be gay to understand

I'm still failing to grasp this "straight privilege" the OP is on about. 

OP: It's an automated system, how is it "discriminating"? It's only asking for the same proof(s) it asks for when ANYONE of ANY ORIENTATION changes their name. Your question has been answered and re-answered several times, you just can't take off your "victim mentality" glasses long enough to see it.

I am not going to say that I know how you feel because I am straight. However, I do know how you feel with regard to being worried about your money.

For some reason, none of us have been able to get in touch with the admin. We have been trying for five days due to the PTC issue not having sponsors.

It's best just to wait until they can get back to you. I know it's hard, but let's see what happens with the admin.

They don't want to keep your money. It truly is the same for everyone.

Brian, I am not gay, but I have 6 friends (3 couples) who are gay.  Please believe us, Fusion Cash IS NOT discrimating you because you are gay.  If you signed up as Brian Smith, and now are Brian Jones they want proof you are the same person.  If I am Nancy Smith and change my name to Nancy Jones I would have to show proof and I'm straight,  I'm not trying to be smart when I ask, are you legally married, or just married in Gods eyes?  If it is legal just show proof and everything will be fine.  As far as support tickets, it sometimes will take some time for an answer, just be patient they will answer.  Please let us know how you make out, good luck.

I came across this thread late in the discussion, so I am glad to see that this user's issue has been resolved.  But I am really struggling with (1) the automatic assumption that this was discriminatory based (the ultimate resolution shows that it obviously was not); and (2) the need to refer to all the users giving HONEST AND HELPFUL suggestions as homophobes (when there was nothing insulting or hateful in any of the responses that I read).

Do you still have your old driver's license?  Maybe you can provide them with a copy of both the old (birth name) and new (married name) licenses to prove that you're the same person?

Ask the FusionCash rep that emailed you for alternative ways to proof you are the same person.

I had to show proof a few years ago when I changed my name. It isn't unusual, I know it is a pain, but it is something everyone has to do.
