I am a female myself and honestly don't like things overdone or like try-hard. I actually proposed to my husband in a starbucks after chatting, we were friends at the time and just decided to wing it. Haha, well it worked out for us.
Don't think about it too hard, unless your girlfriend is crazy and needs romance or something :snowman:

I heard one guy proposed at the top of the London Eye, but when she said no it was a long 15 minutes to get back down. (the ride is a half hour long).

My husband took me fishing and hid my engagement ring in my tackle box.  It may not sound romantic to some, but we spend a lot of time together in our boat on the lake.

Our mothers' third marriage was a marriage of convenience. Her perspective husbands romantic question turned out to be "do you think you can pass a blood test?"

I think the most romantic way a person can purpose depends on the couple and the relationship. If the couple or the person is really into sports maybe they can go to a game with while their favorite team is playing and purpose. If the couple is into the out doors, maybe they can go out on a lake a sunset and purpose then.

I think if you come with something that he likes to do and weave it in to the proposal it would make it special or maybe your first meeting or date might be a good idea.
