my yard is a real mess but thats all it did thank god so now i get to buy new plants and flowers after the mud drys out which will not be for a few weeks because its the rainy season

Thank God you made it.  My son lives in St. Pete and he made it too.  We were on the phone and he said it was very windy but doing ok.  Some of my plants were floating this morning but I just added more soil.

good to hear. I have been through a few storms in my life and some were almost f 4 tornadoes . now I just have to deal  with tropical storms

Yes it was a little messy in my yard but the worse part was having to pick up my son from work - it was absolutely pouring and by the time he got in the car he was soaked and by the time we got in the house we were both soaked.  Oh well if that is the worse right?

glad to hear that everyone seems to be ok.
we really need  some rain up north.I wish you could send some our way. We have a drought as well as a lot of pollen.

      It rained heavily two days ago. And the local weather reported "possible flooding" in lower areas. It is OK with me...because I will avoid those areas. Now, it is cooler and I will have less spring allergies to deal with.

I'm guessing it hit Florida already? It hit NJ Sunday and it was torrential down pours! It reminded me of Hurricane Sandy and scared the crap outta me! Oh well...we survived it! lol

we have drains in the city of Fort Myers that aren't sufficient.
there is always standing water after a storm, even during a storm.
I remember people in Tennessee who were driving on the road in their cars when the highways flooded.
Heavy rain can be very dangerous.
