Learning how to use Twitter

Yeah, I'm finally learning how to tweet.  It's actually fun and I enjoy learning something new.

A couple of things I've learned within the past week are:

How to shorten a URL.  A tweet is limited to 140 characters so it's best if we can use tools to limit the number of characters.  A couple of free tools for shortening a URL are:

www.tinyurl.com
www.bit.ly.com

www.bit.ly.com is also a tool for helping me track the number of clicks for a specific URL.

Hashtags are also new to me.  I'm finding that hashtags exist as a way of organizing tweets so others who are interested in the same topic can find information.

An example of a hashtag is:

#TriviaAnswer

I like Twitter, but can't stand the fact that they only limit your tweets to 140 characters.  I prefer to speak full-on English rather than using "ur free 2 do whtevr u want," LOL.

Yes I love twitter, I actually like twitter better than Facebook.

I am on it but for some reasons have just not  been bitten by the bug to use it much, but think i will start more. Maybe i will find it  fun.

Power to you.  I have never really messed with it, but you never know.  I may do itat some point in the future.

Unless you are promoting something, or have a large following of people caring what you do....  I don't see the draw of having twitter.  I joined years ago, & quickly got bored.    I do appreciate the hashtag phenom it created though, now that Instagram uses those as well.

Tweeting is fun and addicting. I've been tweeting since 2010. It's a great way of sharing interests with new people.

I have a twitter account but never really used it. I couldn't get how it works. Besides too many social media accounts not good.  Facebook is enough.

I've also recently joined twitter! I've learned recently that followers are essentially meaningless; anyone who is desperate for followers can get a bunch of followers if they want to. People who don't have a lot of followers I honestly respect more (aside from celebrities of course bc then it makes sense) bc they not so thirsty for followers and popularity.
