I just realized that St. Patrick's Day is just another day for gazillions of people to get together and get drunk. I'm sure the patron Saint of Ireland would be so pleased.  :-\

Here are some of his quotes:

St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time - a day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic.

If I be worthy, I live for my God to teach the heathen, even though they may despise me.

If I have any worth, it is to live my life for God so as to teach these peoples; even though some of them still look down on me.

Somehow none of these quotes inspire me to go out and get hammered. You?  ???
