Tax Time
« on: February 18, 2016, 02:26:26 pm »
I have to file a 1040 because of a very small amount of interest and dividends. Usually, I have used the free forms through the IRS but I have found it very difficult, stressful and time consuming.

This year, I used TaxAct and it was such a good experience. It was simple, easy, fun and best of all FREE. I really recommend TaxAct.

 :)

I use a private account that my family has been going to for a very long time. I'm rather nervous about filing this year, as I recently divorced and hope that doesn't wind up making me owe money. I could really use the extra money to put into my savings account!

I also use to use the itemized deductions, but for the last two years I have not had enough deductions.  Last year I used turbo tax and it was free.  I guess I will use them again this year.

I used Turbo Tax this year. It was my second time using them and I enjoyed it very much. The first time I used them was in 2008 and I like the way they explain everything to you now. They did not do that a few years ago. I will be using them again in the years to come.

We used turbo tax this year. It is so much easier to do taxes in the comfort of our own home! I really recommend it.

I used H&R Block online last year, because it was free for both federal and state tax. Since NY requires efile, they have a few free options that they offer on their website, so I click through that.
