Nosebleeds
« on: January 17, 2016, 02:37:26 pm »
The last few years I have experienced nose bleeds during the first few months of the year and then they disappear. It can be terribly  inconvenient and messy. In case anyone else has ever had this problem, I want to offer what has worked for me.

I know how people do not want to even try a neti pot.  :angry7: But I had a terrible nosebleed yesterday and I used my neti pot with the medicine packet they provide. My nosebleed went right away and has not come back.

Do you use humidifiers in your house? I have three going all the time during the winter months in mine. I also use AYR nose gel at night to moisten my nose as well as Ocean saline nasal spray. Drinking lots of water is helpful too. Doctor should have given you some tips to help. I know they don't always do that, though.  :-X

Plus, if she uses the neti pot, make sure she tries using the medication that comes with it in filtered or distilled warm water. It stings but it kind of cauterizes the inside of your nose. At least that's what I think it does.
