have you noticed this in the stores

Stores always try to get a jump on the holiday rush because they usually order more then a months worth of product to sell before the holiday and they have no clue which products that are new may fail or not. You really don't want to be a store at the end of christmas with a ton of Christmas items unsold. But its a good time to get deals

They actually have an excellent idea of what will sell and what will not.  They do extensive research.  As well as the companies that put the product out.  They don't just make 5 million of something and "hope" it sells.  That is why they have product testers.

@CLICKERS- Not sure where you get your information but starting the weekend of Thanksgiving until Christmas and right after everything is on sale.  Hardly anything is a higher price.  Unless you live in Hawaii where everything is higher any way.

@MRISHA- YOU make the choice of what Christmas means to you.  The stores have ALWAYS beefed up the marketing around the holiday to sell more product.  This is not something that is new.  People in general have a more materialized attitude but that is not the fault of the stores.  That is each person's own choice.

Every where I go people complain about what is in the stores.  If it bothered me that badly I would stay home and order anything I needed online.  Right after Christmas they will put out Valentine's stuff.  That is the next holiday.  But it or don't.  But is it really necessary to fuss at the cashier about it?  Or complain to everyone you meet?  Who cares?
