Breakup Backup...?
« on: August 17, 2009, 01:25:11 am »
Well last night, my gf n I broke up. As much as I didnt want it to end... it was all forced. So what happened was, her parents took away her phone, laptop and made her quit ALL her extra cirricular activies so that i wld never see or tlak to her ever again. As much as it kills me... it already happened... Do you guys have any advice on how to get over reminincing? My heart really hurts... Please help...

And also, shld i continue pursuing my dream to be together with her? We go to different schools, but I still love her very much... Advice please... :-[

Well. Like I tell everyone who asks for advice over the internet. Don't ask for advice from people that don't know you personally. You know yourself more than anyone else. You DO what YOU want to DO. Don't let a girl get you down though. My ex fiance and I were together for roughly 3 and a half years. And one day she picks up and leaves. It took about 2 weeks of mopeing and crying around. Until I came to my senses. Hey Im 21 (at the time) and I'm Single. Never been to a bar. Met plenty of women in about 3 weeks time i was to happy being myself and having fun. don't let it get to you. Get your mind off it by doing FC and some facebook or go to some bars

i'm assuming (and i could be wrong, but) her parents
wouldn't pull all those things from her for no reason, right?

so what exactly set her parents off, in all honesty?

and also, how old are you and how long have you been together?

[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I'm assuming you are in high school.   You are way too young to be getting serious with anyone, both of you.  Don't grow up so fast you'll have your whole life to have relationships.  Take this time to have fun with the guys, and get to know who you are.  Concentrate on school.  You had good times together but it's over for now.  Be glad for the time you had with her.  Who knows maybe you can get back together in the future but for now respect her parents wishes and leave her alone.   If it's meant to be you will be with her again but in the mean time go out and be a kid.

You are getting some good advice here! Appreciate what you had. What have you learned from the relationship? Cry and mourn a little-it is a loss. Then go be a kid. AS someone else said, if it is meant to be in the future it will be.

How old is she? If she is close to being 18, and you guys are **really, truly** in love with each other then wait for her & do everything you can. Have you tried talking to her parents? They seem pretty unreasonable to take away all her extracurricular activities & everything, that's a stupid, stupid move to make...they are basically giving her nothing to live for, but you. she also could talk to her guidance counselor, sounds like emotional abuse to me. It sounds like exactly how my parents used to treat me...they were a-holes, didnt want me to have any fun, and I wasnt a bad kid!! its almost like jealousy. Maybe you could find a way to switch schools? Or get like a prepaid phone and find a way to get it to her so you can be in contact, as long as she hides it well. On the other hand, if youre not that serious about her, then just try to move on, it will be difficult.

Sometimes you just have to flow with the feeling.  Of course you will still think about her but what helps to get your mind off things is to occupy your time with other things.

If your still in school just get another. Make her jealous. Then SHE will see how happy you are then try and get you back. Thats what I used to do. But thats why they call it "high school drama" haha  :binkybaby: :binkybaby:

I say do what you feel in your heart. You seem to really like this girl alot. But giving as your spelling and the fact that you said you go to two different schools, this might be just a fling. Keep your head up and try to fill your time with good things, hanging out with friends, video games, stuff you enjoy, do not dwell on a situation that is out of your hands, trust me you wont get very far!! I hope that helps alittle!! And im sorry..
