It was a good punishment for deflating *bleep*.  It's sad that Ray Rice can't get a decent one for beating women.

Some truth there...

There have been some reports and comments (AJ Feeley) that deflated footballs had been happening in previous years, as far back as 2004...

I think the draft pick part of the punishment is the hardest part...the fine means nothing (in fact, there's a fund set up by fans to pay for it, which is stupid)....the four games are early in the season so won't do too much damage....punishment should have been for the post-season...

it doesn't seem like there's a bit of inconsistency with the punishments, but NFL seems to be trying to get it right....

Fines are too low.  That's pocket change to the players and owners who are millionaires and billionaires. Too much drama in the nfl.

I don't think its fair to just punish Brady and not anyone else;  surely he was not the only one to know the ball had been deflated.  Sets another bad example for the kids that think he hung the moon.

It doesn't help the other team because each team has their own *bleep*.   The *bleep* that are in question were used by Tom Brady while they had possession of the ball.   Once the other team gains possession they use their *bleep*.

Sorry but that still doesn't make sense.  They are playing with the same ball.  If team ONE kicks and runs with the ball or throws the ball and the other team gets it and kicks or throws the ball it's the same ball.  Both teams use the same ball between the two of them.

I think the punishment is good. But why only Brady?  I think the entire organization should be fined or have some kind of ramification. Brady can't be the only one held accountable.
