You should check out clonlara homeschooling program. It's the one my mother used to teach me and my siblings from home. My little sister is about to graduate this year! It's not free, but they give you the necessary aid when it comes to dealing with -shall we say- "difficult" superintendents.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

Bruises, Cuts, and Ripped clothes?  Are you serious?  You should have pressed charges when it happened.  Not sure if you have to have proof beyond her word against theirs.  It is pathetic that a kid can be picked on that bad and the teachers and the school in general refuses to do something.  They say the bully is just being a kid.  Well when she gets fed up and can't do anything else to protect herself and takes a gun to school and shoots them is that still being a kid?  No they say you are a bad parent.

My goodness. You know, there are too many kids these days that commit suicide because they are bullied and no-one will listen. The schools say they have a zero tolerance for bullying yet it goes on. If you have bought it to the schools attention and they have not dealt with it, I would take my child out of school. I would not be prepared to take the chance that my child could become a statistic. I wish schools had the funds to place cameras on every corner of the school to video, and prove, that it actually goes on .

I would also take my child out of school.  It is ridiculous that there can't be SOMEONE to monitor the kids on school grounds.  Bullying has gotten to be a huge problem, and many kids suffer from it.

I would definitely go the home school route.  I was home schooled for a year for a similar reason, but it wasn't even to the extent that you're saying.

I would do EVERYTHING at my disposal - my children were bullied especially the older one - it is not just being kids - look at the statistics for depression and even suicide of bullied children.  I worked for the school district at the time and talking to the principal did no good, talking to the parents who were our neighbors did no good - so my husband and I pulled our children out of school and homeschooled.  It's not fair though that the injured party has to bear the brunt of someone else's wrong doing.  My situation occurred a lot of years ago before people were supposedly knowledgeable about the effects of bullying. I will certainly pray for you and your daughter & the situation.  You shouldnt have to be dealing with this while you are working toward getting well.

I hope you have everything documented, including photos of your kid's bruises and torn clothes.  If your child gets "online," document any harassment there, too.  Believe me, I understand that your child doesn't want to go back, been there, done that.  Since the school is being no help to you (yeah, so much for "zero tolerance"), you're doing the right thing by home schooling.  What you can do here is go to your courthouse and file an order of protection against the kids who are bullying your child.  I wonder if their parents know they're doing this?  The protective orders will sure put a wake-up call on the parents, and you can bring copies of the Order of Protection to your child's school so that they have documentation and proof that you DID file.  Should she be harassed again, even outside of school by these kids, they're going to be arrested.  This Order of Protection will also include your daughter, meaning she is NOT to have any contact with these kids or she could be arrested, too.  It works both ways.

Get a lawyer and sue the parents and the school for physical and emotional pain.

My niece was bullied at school, but it was not the children it was the teacher. She was awful. I just happened to come home for the weekend and was going to pick up from school and walked in on the teacher who was browbeating her in front of the class and had the little one crying. Yep lost my temper and yanked the teacher away from her and she fell. they called the cops on me. But when they got through talking to the kids and found out this teacher was forever going at my niece and making her cry was put on paid leave. I walked out a free woman with my niece. The next week she was put in a  different classroom and from then on was happy to go to school. I will not tolerate a grown person doing that to a child.

Press charges and file suit against the school system.  It is the parents' responsibility for their minor children.  It is the school's responsibility to ensure your daughter has a safe environment to learn.
Have a wonderful day!

you are doing the right thing by teaching your child at home.
Home school is becoming a trend.
There are certain tests the child has to take along the way to check his or her aptitude.
I would not be surprised if the school system dissolved in the future.
It has already begun to shift.
Many parents are home schooling their children.
Many young people are going to trade schools with a specific focus of work in mind.
Perhaps, in the future, children won't go to a school until they are 18.

Aggie, I have to agree with the others, press charges against the kid's parents.  You cannot sue a child, but you should be able to have the bullys removed from the school and put in another type of school and the parents might have to pay court costs (hit the parents where it hurts - in the wallet).  Yes, I would remove my child, but it's sad you have to do that to the child who did nothing wrong.
