Hi guys, I am living and working in Dubai currently. Now, I am thinking of getting an appropriate degree in my field but the problem is that for enrolling in to this program I would have to make a lot of efforts to take out spare time for studies while on the other hand I have heard from my friends that online universities are also offering online degree that is similar to what traditional universities offer.

So please guide me in making the right decision and please let me know if there is any difference between a traditional degree and an online degree? Is online degree widely accepted in the job market?

sometimes online degrees aren't legitimate degrees you have to check on them carefully.

There is no difference, online degrees you can get at your own comfort, U do not have to attend a physical class location. But hey you will surely miss out the college/university life

I think that there are a few differences. In a classroom you are exposed to several different mediums which are said to aid in retaining subject matter. Hearing a lecture, taking notes, seeing diagrams on the board, power point presentations, interaction with other students, spontaneous interaction when answering a teacher's question, having to be at a class at a designated time all increase retention in addition to reading your lesson whether on line or from a book.  Studying for a test that you can only take once in class versus retaking on line quizzes till you get all of the answers correct is also a retention benefit. You are also able to make connections with like minded people in your chosen field of endeavor.
