Valentine's Day party
« on: February 11, 2015, 01:42:12 pm »
are you hosting a party or going to a neighbor's house?
do you know of any big parties in the city?
what type of food or treats woluld you like?

my cousin got married on Valentine's Day a few years ago. She and her husband put little packets on everyone's place setting.

I will always look at Valentine's Day as being the day after my daughter was born.  She was my greatest gift ever.

lol I have not been to a Valentine Party since I was in grade school.  I didn't think adults had V-day parties.  I will be working. It's just another day.  And a made up holiday so the greeting card and flower companies can make some extra money.

I, too, do not remember attending a Valentine's Day party since I was in elementary school. My husband and I after forty-eight years of marriage usually give each other Valentine cards and a little present, but our idea of a perfect Valentine celebration is to cook a good, healthy meal together, eat, then watch our favorite TV shows in front of a roaring fire! (with our laptops in our laps!)

This Valentine's Day, my wife and I plan to have a quiet day enjoying each other. She is absolutely not going to cook any meals! We decided we won't go out, but I'll pick up our dinner, and just enjoy the day with each other at home.

Yes, I'll be celebrating Valentine's Day.   Also, I'll be giving some people cookies for Valentine's Day.  I've mailed Valentine cards to those that live in other states, because it's nice to get something besides junk & bills in the mailbox all the time.    Life is too short to NOT celebrate our love for others whenever we get the chance. Just letting them know they are appreciated or even making someone's day that day (pay for a stranger's coffee) doesn't cost alot.  Our world needs ALOT more love.  Wishing you all alot of  and  :) 's on Valentine's Day!!
