How much do you spend a day on food?

I spend about 15-30$ a day on food depending on what I'm getting sometimes per a week I only need about 60$ max, No fast food though sometimes.

I've been eating more take out then I'd like to lately, not good for my calories budget or my financial budget.  But I've been taking it easy compared to what I spent last year.

Just a tip: many dollar trees carry name brand based foods.  I spend at least $40 a month on food from there for myself and my kids and it REALLY helps.

We spend about $10 day per family member for food. We eat very light breakfasts and lunches but have large dinners with dessert including meat, potato or pasta, large garden salad, fresh veggie like broccoli or cauliflower, iced tea and dessert. The dinner meals can get quite pricey, particularly if the meat is steaks from Costco (yummy!)

Recently I've been cooking meals at home and I coupon, but before that I would spend 8-9 dollars per person to eat when we would eat out. But I spend about 30.00 on groceries a week if that.

Well i think it depends on the number of people staying a my house... its me and my son and my mom and my brother now since i have a 1 year old i have to spend about $100 on food but thats for him and us. As a 23 year mom i feed it easyer to cut back my food and give to him

I don't buy food on a daily basis.  I like to buy in bulk, don't like trying to go around or being bumped by other shoppers.

No real clue, never averaged the daily amount.  I spend close to 500 a month as my hubby only gets paid once a month.

I went to both of the links that you had supplied and was delightfully surprised. I read just a few excerpts from the dollar a day link and skipped to the end of the thirty one day challenge-what a great ending.  I actually chuckled and was motivated big time. I was ecstatic at being able to download the four dollar a day cook book and will be reading it during my limited free time. So many people think that the secret to getting ahead is to make more money without realizing that, too often, they increase their expenses to match their income. Fusion cash has taught me how to be cognizant of both sides of a penny through a greater appreciation for every cent earned. My lunches come to about one dollar and fifty cents per day, dinners about three dollars and breakfasts are under a dollar.

I would say that I spend at least $10 a day, but that is for a family.
