fresh pears

I like to eat pears, which I don`t understand why my husband and my daughter don`t like to eat it.

from Harry and David are so juicy. This last Christmas [the one that just passed], I got a bunch from my brother. Harry and David send them before they ripen. Their timing is impeccable. At first, they are crisp. Two weeks later, they become juicy. Either way, they are delicious.

I like to let them ripen. There is something about the juiciness of a pear. I love to drink pear nectar from a can too. I don't realy have a favorite species. I just like pears. BMaston12

I am not a major pear eater, but I DO like Harry and David when I occasionally treat myself.  I LOVE really good, ripe, juicy peaches...which are hard to find anymore.  They don't taste the way they used to.  I have to go to the country or special Farmer's Markets to find decent ones.  Otherwise, they often taste like cardboard.

I used to love eating pears and Apples and so on. But because of my diabetes I haven't had any good fruit in years.

I just bought some red pears at the distribution center today and they need a couple more days to ripen. I have never tried them. So I am hoping they will be good.  I so like them fresh, crisp with just a little juice. I am already ready for spring and summer. the fruits and veggies are not as fresh right right now. I do so miss it.

I haven't had pears in a long time and I miss them. Seeing this post reminds me that I'm long overdue to buy some. I love when they are juicy and a little soft (but not too much).
