uuugh yes, I have a family member that does this alot. Shes out of work, and usually gives broken things she finds, several times she has found a collectable I collect, and part is broken, or cracked.

Id rather not get anything at all, or go to the dollar tree and get me a hand cream or something

I always get a supply of gift cards,  then I don't get caught off guard when a last minute friend drops by with a gift.  I get them for places I like to go or eat at so they don't get wasted at all.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and I am trying to teach her the season is about giving. I want her to learn about the birth of Jesus more than about Santa Clause.

I don't get gifts like that so I don't care.  If I didn't like it I'd take it back or give it to a thrift store.
