I am definitely not a reader like you are.  My books are shorter as they take me several days or weeks to finish.  I enjoy a good mystery.

Can't really seem to get into westerns unless they are romance. I do not like science fiction. I guess maybe that is because I hated science in school.

I like reading, but if it is not fully exciting I will start to daydream about a different more interesting plot, which is funny. Happy reading :)

I am 72 and I have been reading since I was very young.  My daughter was the same, and her son is 6 and is reading himself. Of course, he still likes to be read to at night.  My daughter likes the types of books you guys describe (vampires, etc.).  She read romance novels when she was younger, tons of them.  I never really got into those.  I did go through cycles of which types of books I liked.  I read all the Daphne du Maurier books when I was in high school.  Later I began to read a lot of books about England, fiction and non-fiction.  It is only in more recent years, since I started researching my family history, that I found that I am descended from the Tudor family.  I live in Virginia, and I have always thought our state must be a lot like England.  I've never been there, but I hope to visit sometime.

I would love to go to England as well. See some of these places I read about.

Come the 17th my daughter and I plan on spending about $100 on books. It's Barnes and Noble night for our congregation where we get a percentage of each sale so I hope to find some of the books we are missing in different series.

I too am an avid book reader.  My favorites are shape shifters, paranormal etc.  I first found them when I found Lora Leigh books.  I have all of them plus other authors who have jumped on the bandwagon of shape shifters.  I love them all with a lot of romance thrown in.
