I want to change my password
« on: November 13, 2014, 06:24:05 am »
Hope someone can help me before I send a support ticket.

I would like to change my password, however, I do not
remember my current password, therefore I cannot
continue with the process.

I clicked on Forget your Password, and when I filled
out the information, this is what I get:

Reset Password
An error occurred. Please try your request again.

Note: You may see this message if you attempt to reset your password to the same value it held before.

I tried this three times and still get the same error message.

I am "afraid" to try again.

Anyone has an answer, please?

You are signed in to FC to post the response, so is your password saved by your browser? Not sure what you use, but if you go to Settings or Preferences, there should be something about seeing your saved passwords.

How are you logging in every morning? Is it automatically filled in for you? Another member has given you a suggestion that sounds worthwhile. It is something that I did not know..

You might also open a support ticket and ask why this is happening? Maybe, FC can help.

I assume that when you attempt Forget Your Password, you have to type in the email address that FC has or your user name. Are you typing in the email address that you used when first joining FC? Are you using the correct user name? Did you ever change anything?  Also, if you are asked to type in your user name or email to get a link to re-set your password and you have been using just one, try the other. For instance, if you are using your email, try using your user name, instead.

I would love to know what the problem was when you get it figured out.

Hello guys,

Thank you for your help. However, it did not work.

However, I went back to all my folders and I found
my old password, and I changed it to a new one.

Now if I could only read the captcha, I would be fine.

I took me some time and a few tries, but here I am.

Why can't you save your passwords? All browsers have the option to do it. I don't even remember what most of mine are any more because they're automatically put in.

Hi ladavia89,

Yes, my browsers, just like yours save my passwords.

Like you, I do not remember all of them.

For some reasons, I like to change them. Not all of them
just certain sites that I use a lot. Security reasons.
