I went to work at a great job straight out of high school. Well, it seemed great to me. I worked there until I got married and had my first baby.

Anyway, I finally got my degree in 2003 as a non-traditional student (all my children were grown) while working full time at that same campus. I walked with the rest of the graduating class due to pressure from a friend. I found it invigorating. My family was there and we celebrated after. That was the best part. Oh, and I also graduated with honors :star: which I only was made aware of as I came up to receive my diploma.

My bachelors degree was in Liberal Studies at SIUE. It never helped me get a job and it certainly never increased my salary. Mostly it showed me that I'm smarter than I give myself credit for.

BTW, SIUE no longer offers that particular major. Hmmmm. Perhaps it's considered one of those "Would you like fries with that?" degrees.  :-\

I went to college, but never got my degree.  Life and other things interrupted it.  Possibly I will get my Bachelors degree one day and do it by going online.  Colleges really have made it easy to get a degree from the comfort of my home.

I;m currently in college, but who knows how much longer it's going to take me. I've only been taking 3 classes a semester for the past two years. I should have been done with school a long time ago, but I guess everything happens for a reason. Also, I met a lot of people who are my age or older, have been in college the same amount of time that I've been there, and are also majoring in the same thing, SO, it does not make me feel as bad. lol I'm completing a minor as well. We'll see how that goes!

I never went to college out of high school.  I'm 41 now and I would love to be able to go back to school to get, at the very least, an Associates Degree.  My finances don't permit that, though.  I've taken some free classes at Saylor University online just because I love learning new things.  I wish, however, they had more classes there that interested me or were along the lines of what I would like to get an Associates Degree in.  I could try out the classes there for free and then move on to a proper university when, and if, I could ever afford it.

Isn't school a 4 letter word?  It is for me.  I did go to Massage Therapy school and I've taken some computer classes; however, sitting in a classroom is a form of torture for me.

Have a great day!

I went to college and almost finished.  I started working and liked that better.  Have a great rest of the weekend everyone.

Yes, I went to college for my associate's degree right after I graduated from high school. I am now currently going after my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.

i did and wish that i hadnt.  ended up with ungodly student loan debt no ability to get a job unless i move to a different state which my husband refuses to do and now im a stay at home mother raising our kids so it was really pointless and costly for me.  ended up racking up 140,000 in debt and have been paying it back since 2008 and still have 15 more years until its paid off ugh fml.

I did graduate but am now doing something totally different from my degree. Call it bittersweet but I do am grateful that I am able to move freely again and not be confined to a wheel chair or using crutches. I do think going to college is and was the best thing that ever occur in my life. At the moment my wife is in her 2nd semester of her masters program at EWU.

Yes I did a long time ago :)

Have a Business Administration Associate Degree. I actually took other classes but overall I wanted to complete something out of my 5 years in college and decided to go for the business administration since I just loved accounting and still do ;)

Worked for 9 yrs. Then got married worked another year, had my first baby and stopped working since that time :) .

About a year after high school I went to trade school even made student of the month.  I did graduate but than I moved to Missouri from California after my son was born.  Than I went back to college in 2006 and graduated in 2008 with an Associates Degree in Accounting.  I only went back to school because the Welfare office said I had to do community service or go to college to continue to get help.  I worked up to 2008 but my hours dropped and I became disabled but they still wanted me to do community service I told them if I could work I would of kept my job I made over $9 bucks an hour and the reason I couldn't pick up more clients (I did in home care) because I was having trouble with my disability and I couldn't lift over 10 pounds on a regular basis and the company I worked for said that would not work we need you to lift a lest 100 pounds but I had a doctors note stating that there is no way.  I ended up quiting I should of let them fire me maybe I would have my disability already.
