I think it depends on the individual and the needs/wants of that person!

Can anyone tell me where to  find a money tree  :)   We live just fine.  We don't spend on things that we don't need and we buy what we need.  We have money in the bank for emergencys  and i think that is good.   Our Life is good

I would love enough that I could live without needing to work.  I figure enough that if I put it in the bank I'd earn a decent amount in interest.

I can always find ways to spend money or give it away, so there's no such thing as enough money for me. :moneymouth: :moneymouth:

I think that people can be completely happy without money so in some instances I would say that money isn't the end all and as such having no money can be enough. Tibetan monks exist without any money and live a happy, somewhat peaceful, enlightened existence. There are some homeless people out there that are existing with shelters when the weather is bad, donated clothing, and food programs that provide their sustenance. I think the amount of money needed really depends on what a person feels that they need in life. The previous two examples show that money is really not needed. It is when we want a more materialistic lifestyle that a need for money presents itself. I have two children who have not learned about a more existential form of life. I was given all that I needed growing up and as such will not deny my children that same life style so my need for money is greater.

That's a smart idea that unfortunately even rich people don't think of sometimes. I often think how can someone who once earned millions per year be now broke?? I guess it's easy though when expenses are piling up and more money is going out than coming in.

I would love enough that I could live without needing to work.  I figure enough that if I put it in the bank I'd earn a decent amount in interest.

How much money is enought?

That's a very individual thing.  Some people are satisfied living on very little, while others always want more.  Whatever makes you happy is enough.

I wish I knew the answer to that question.  I try to live within my means and strive to be content with what I have.
