What are the advantages by reading a book?

In general, it widens our vocabulary, and its fun. Children learns a lot about everything.

You can flip back in it. I like having a book in hand. Call me old fashioned I you want. I also don't have to worry about batteries dying, carrying a cord around.

Lots of advantages are in books infact most movies and games are from books themselves but movies do cut parts out of the books and games try to cover those parts missing from the movie like harry potter. Book are also knowledgeable with information or they can induce imagination through others dreams and imagination.

I really love books and probably spend too much time reading.  I don't think I would care for the Kindle at all but it's immaterial as I can't afford it anyway.
