i have mine computer very long time and it works just fine i have had to buy one as of yet why you buy on in a week. Or am i not understanding the question.

Luck of this kind? Yes...plenty of poorly timed computer bad luck but it usually occurs as soon as I have grown attached/dependent to/on the computer, the warranty has just run out or I have a huge project that needs to be done within forty eight hours! I would say that your luck, although odd, was quite fortunate because you didn't have time to store two years worth of work/memories yet,  hadn't gotten used to the computer enough to grow a dependency and it didn't sound like you had an immediate pending project.  Warranty should replace it immediately.  I do find it funny that my computers always seem to blow up during Ramada which started last night and most of the computer help desks are based in countries that celebrate this holiday thus compounding the problem!

I have never seen this happen and I too hope you had a warranty for the computer.
