We generally mix it up with my family. Last year my dad made prime rib, I did turkey and my mom made a bunch of side dishes... not to mention that on Christmas eve, its tradition for as many of my immediate family as can make it to get together and we get Chinese food or pizza and all watch movies and play Wii (we just started that part last year). I swear if Im not careful I could easily put on 10 pounds ion those 2 days alone lol

This is such a great topic for those who are worried about Christmas dinner, like myself!

I can't remember a year that we did not have both options available. But, it is usually: huge turkey and a small ham or huge ham and turkey breast meat sliced.

I think my family is much more interested in the side items.
Not trying to hijack this post but it is a bit on topic: what do you serve with your ham or turkey?

My mother in law is making tamales!  ;D Yummy!!! They're even better the day after when you fry them. Ugh I'm hungry now.

Answer for the question above:
When we would have turkey or ham we always went with the mashed potatoes. It goes so well, it's like they were made for each other. Oh and some kind of bread.

Nothing is better than turkey leftovers! You can keep the ham.
