Reality TV

I know Summer is the slow season for TV, but please...how many reality shows do we need? And where do they find these people? Married at First Sight? Naked Dating? And who is Chrissly? And Honey Boo Boo?
Does someone actually get paid for these awful ideas?
Maybe I should just get a good book.

I agree that it is getting quite ridiculous. Too many people are famous for absolutely nothing because of those shows.

Reality TV is about as unreal as anything can get, even the more 'legitimate' reality shows are all so scripted they are just stupid! The Duck guys is the only one I can watch and that is only because it seems to have a lot of ad lib humor, and the players are just being themselves for the most part.

I can't stand all the stupid reality TV shows. It amazes me how some of these people can become famous for doing nothing. About the only reality based shows I can watch are Naked and Afraid because you actually learn from that show every once in a while and then some of the shows on HGTV.

There isn't one "reality" show I watch regularly. At least *bleep* Stars tries to give a bit of history connected to the items people bring in. It's scripted of course, but the *bleep* shop is real. They give the impression there are only 4 employees, but there are far more. It's open 24/7.

I think a lot of this reality TV is skewing some peoples views of what life is really about.  Reality TV is so not Real...

I like Naked and Afraid!   However, how is it that none of the survivors really survive?  They just exist - poorly - until they are picked up or get an illness.   I'd like to see someone that claims to be some great survivor thrive on that show.  Makes me question the evolution theory, lol, how did we ever survive the way we are now, why don't we have fur because obviously after watching that show we get cold at night & need protection from the elements everywhere we go.    I wish they would show more of it for a couple episodes.    Great show.
