Sorry I dont agree with some of the posts. If this friend wouldnt help you out, then no I would never help them again. Especially if you know that she could, but wont

I am saddened. cateyes1. to hear of your problems.  You sound so caring, but take it from someone who has been there and done that:  people will reach out to you for help, but will not reciprocate when you are the one in need.  I love helping people as well, but there are some people who look at people like you and me as all day suckers; they will latch onto your back and suck until they suck the life out of us.  I understand that you have been there for your friend, but I wouldn't expect her to help you in your time of need, because she has no plan to help you now or ever.  You should remind her that you have been there for her and she all but turned her back on you when you needed her.  I hope your problems do resolve themselves. ??? ??? ???   :rainbow: :rose:

No because they're taking advantage of you.

I have helped a good friend many times, now I need help but they wont help me...would you ever help them out again if they came calling? :-\

It's when times are tough that you find out who your REAL friends are.  No, there's no way I would help this person again.

If you scratch my back, I scratch yours... know who your true friends are ..... those we can rely on... thats how it should be... be a good friend and do what you can and dont allow people to take advantage either.

That's a tough one - so many different scenario's can make the difference.  Helping some one out is giving of yourself and should be done without the anticipation of receiving something in return.  However, you don't want to be taken advantage of.  Like I said - it depends so much on the situation.

I always say not again but I still do.  Some how it always comes back to me.  The one friend needed a place to stay was only supposed to be for a few weeks ended up almost a year.  For that I got a maid and a babysetter.  By the time I was ready to tell her she needed to go.  She left on her own.  It worked out, we needed eachothers help at the same time, and we both were done with it at the same time.  Still friends.  No harm no fowl.

What if they were unable to help you the way you needed it at the time....what if helping you would put them in a bind....if that's not the case then no I would not help them for a long time.....

It depends what kind of help they need, I don't expect any return. I know some earthquake or hurricane, people need help in desperate.
