another way to peel a banana

Sometimes, people find themselves struggling to peel a banana, cutting at the thick stem.
There is an easier way someone showed me a few years ago.
The banana has a black tip [ "the other end"].
Pinch one side of the the black tip and pull down.
You won't be wrestling to peel the banana with a knife.

I've heard people do it that way....I don't remember if I ever tried though.

I have always opened bananas by the stem.  My ex co-worker opened hers up that way, but I must be a creature of habit, because I found it weird.

Animals in the wild peel bananas from the 'other' end... guess we humans are not all that advanced!
