School's out

Our kids have 8 more days of school! Are you excited for school to be out, or do you dread trying to find ways to keep your kid's occupied?

Although i don't have kids i enjoy watching the kids out of school enjoying the summer. It's beautiful it really is..they have worked hard during school and deserve a break.. I always enjoyed the summers when school was out.. It was the highlight.. We would always plan at least one vacation or reward.. weather it be a waterpark.. or six flags or even just a picnic.. or a bbq or block party it's just something that makes you love summer lots more and way to make memories yah baby!

All 3 of my kids are done.  Technically they can go pick up there report cards tomorrow but the buses aren't running.  Good thing the district posts them on the district website. I can't wait to crawl in bed tonight knowing I won't have to get up early to get my youngest up and moving.

Our local school system gets out this Friday, 06/06.  It's the latest the kids have been in school for a long time.  Actually, by state law, it is the latest date kids can go to school.  They start back 08/04 so it will be a very short summer vacation.  I just pray we don't have another winter like last winter!

my son got out of school on May 6, so he's been out for awhile.  love love love having him home!

Some schools are out here and some go until the 20th of June.  We start back late here after Labor Day because September is usually our hottest month in Southern California.  When we lived in Colorado they went back in August then had a few weeks out in late Sept early October  for apple/fruit picking (I think that was really a 30 or 40 year throwback).

This used to be the best time in the world for me. What a great feeling to have the whole summer off from school!

My kids got out May 16th. School starts back August 11th. We've had lots of doctors appts so far and a couple more this week. We will just be hanging out and relaxing most of the summer.
