Without going into detail. I have lived my whole life trying to be THE best person I could be. If you are my TRUE friend I would bend over backwards for you to make you happy. I love to help people when help is needed and I'd be there for ANYONE who needs help!!....BUT I know people who are so fake as fake can get, who are manipulative, liars, cheats and would stab you in the back if they could get away with it. YET life is good to them UGH....For this all to make any kind of sense. My son and his gal broke up. They have a 2 year old together. She was cheating on my son while he was working his butt off trying to make a good living for his family. (hence the breakup)....I hear that she is having a grand ole time with her new victim (reasons why I call him that)  my son went for visitation rights and this *bleep* told the courts that I am not allowed to see my Granddaughter because she (ex) has issues with me. unfortunately my son has no say because she is the custodial parent...WHY is it that the GOOD people have to suffer and this *bleep* is going on her merry way????????????????????...Thank you to all who can help me know WHY!!!!!!!!!!!

If your son has visitation rights then you can see your grandchild while your son has the kid.  The mother cannot stop it as long as you do not have a drug problem, drinking problem, or criminal background that would endanger the child.  It is his child too.

Unfortunately, when two people have a kid together the mother usually gets custody.  It does not seem fair that the father only gets like every other weekend one day a weekend with the kid.

I would find out how to talk to the court maybe petition the court for grand parent rights. There must be some.Feel bad for you i have one grandson and if i couldn't see him i'd be nuts.

Grandparents do not have "rights" to see a grandchild.  It is not their child and the court cannot force the parent to let a grandparent see the kid.  Same as an Aunt or Uncle or whomever.

That actually depends on the state where the child lives... Some states do grant the grandparents and immediate family members visitation rights. They feel that it is best for the child to have a good relationship with all of its family members. That's why it's best to get a lawyer to determine what options are available.

I'm assuming that the courts granted her custody because she had shown more evidence of a stable place of residence. However now that she is getting evicted, it might be a good time for your son to try getting custody of his child, as the eviction shows that she does not actually have a stable place of residence. Even joint custody would allow your son to petition the court on your behalf with a better stand than just visitation rights.

I wish it were that easy Countrygirl. BUT my son only has 1 day that he is allowed to see his daughter and it has to be at a mall. His ex told the judge that she doesn't want me around my Granddaughter and so the judge accepted that ruling (for now) so no I cant see her :(....my son is suppose to see his daughter for 4 hrs but the ex gets his daughter there when she wants...it was mentioned to the judge but so far she is getting away with it grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I am dealing with a lawyer now . My only problem is is that this girl lies so much about EVERYTHING and the courts believe her lies. I have presented so much evidence to prove her wrong and fingers crossed this will all be resolved on May 28th ......fingers crossed!!
