I would say about 99% percent of the time I think before I react; especially when I am around children.

I guess it depends on what is happening. If someone asks me for advice, I tend to think before I speak, especially if the subject matter is a little bit delicate. On the other hand, if I saw someone being bullied or saw something so way out of order, I cannot pause even for a moment. I go in like a bull in a china shop throwing my weight around like there is no tomorrow. I once saw a huge truck parked outside a store. It was left with all the children inside (all of whom were under 6) and the engine running, presumably to keep the air conditioning running as it was a hot day. None of the children were strapped in, they were all flinging themselves all over the truck having a good time. There was no adult in the car. I was not amused. I felt that was so wrong that I called the cops straight away and they arrived before the parent had finished shopping for their groceries!

Now that I am a lot older and a little wiser, I can honestly say that I do think before I act these days!  :)

I think a lot before I act,I have to plan everything in one go or don't do it at all.

I tend to over complicate things so i tend to belive i think while i am acting. I can think about something but not make the right decision or i can think about something and make the right decision. Sometimes thinking is not the only thing to do before you act.. You could consider a list of things.. Like thinking how you and others would feel based apon the decision gathering knowledge before making the decision considering the outcome  and the consequences and always put yourself into the shoes of the other person or put yourself into the scenario persay before you make the decision.. There is alot to think about before making decisions. The decision process doesn't always come easy and can be over complicated..

Not being mean but I agree. You over complicate things. lol

Basically, I think the question was simple.  Do you think before you act?  A few years ago I was at  work and was doing a demo.  I had it all set up and things looked nice.  A guy who also worked there standing about 6 or 8 feet from me threw an apple and bounced it thru my display.
First, it scared me because things were slow and no one was around my booth.  Second, he messed up the display and crap went all over the floor and every where else.  HE just stood there and laughed.  I snapped.  I went off.  I did not "think" before I reacted.  I did not think about consequences or anything else.  I was mad and I "reacted".

In the same situation - I could have done "nothing".  Went home and thought about it - and had a totally different reaction.  Or I could have forgot it and never thought about it again.

Although I think, I am one of those people who react after holding things in for a while.  It is not good that I do that, because I say things I regret later.  But I try to be understanding; it only lasts so long.   :rainbow: :rose:

That is kind of like spanking a kid 3 days after they do something. lol.  If you are going to say something about a situation or something someone done to you in my opinion it is better to say it then.  Say it while the situation is fresh in every one's mind.

I surely try to think things through before reacting. But there have been times where I have acted on impulse.
