Does anyone have any fun plans for labor day! Do you get work off for this holiday?

Yes, I get off from work on Labor Day. When we were younger, my parents used to take us to Atlantic City for Labor Day, and it was pretty fun. But now that we are all grown up and live on our own, we don't do that anymore, so sometimes our families will have cook-outs, which are fun enough. Let's put it this way...any day off from work is a fun day!

Labor Day is still a few months away.  We have Memorial Day coming up next weekend.  It is the un-official start to the summer season.  Labor Day usually ends the summer season.  I get both holidays off from work.  I hate to rush the summer months by but I can't wait until Labor Day gets here this year.  I am Hawaii bound at the end of September!!
Have a wonderful day!

Since it is several months until LABOR DAY I had not really thought about it.

Several people I know have birthdays around Labor Day, so we usually make it a communal birthday bash for them.

Usually around Labor Day I'll head to the Renaissance Festival with friends since that is the last weekend that they're open, and the weather has usually cooled down from the hot days in the middle of the summer.

As for Memorial Day this weekend, I don't have a whole lot of plans except for a bunch of yard-work that I'd like to do. One of my friends may have a bon-fire sometime during the weekend too (esp. with how the weather is supposed to turn out).

And in the middle of the summer during the 4th of July, I usually head to my parents' house; they live on a lake and the town they live in has their town festival that weekend, so there is always tons of stuff going on all weekend.

Don't forget to think of those military personnel who have been served our country, been injured in combat, or have died for this country.  That is what the holiday is for.  My husband was in the Army during the Viet Nam War.  Those warriors got very little attention or respect when they returned.  We should remember them all now.
