Economy....
« on: July 16, 2009, 05:32:23 pm »
I'm just curious to know...

Do you think the economy is getting better at all?
What is the main problem in our economy?
Do you really think that our new President will be able to fix it?

Just want to know what everyone thinks....

It is getting worse. I know several people that have lost their job and are unable to find another. And I have said it once and I will say it again the problem is the influx of mexicans.

Not just the Mexicans, but my dad lost his job a couple years ago and his shift was bombarded with Bosnians driving highly expensive cars, living in very nice homes... it's all of them anymore!!  Sorry to say, but I feel this is true!

I agree it is not just from one country but the truth of the matter is that the majority is mexicans.

The large influx of all sorts of immigrants running from a country with a bad economy has in turn put a strain on our economy and is a factor in what is wrong with it.

I agree. The more people here willing to work for lower wages forces the over all wage down. Construction takes a huge hit from mexicans that are willing to work for nearly nothing because they are paid cash under the table. They are able to bid very very low because they do NOT pay taxes,  workman's comp, etc. It affects everything from the banks, grocery stores, the things we buy to the things we don't buy. America has become a systemically infected country. They work here and send the money "home". The reason the economy is such garbage is because a large portion of wages made in this country do not stay in this country. These people come from countries that have been ruined by their people and have come here to now ruin America.
